Fishing Trip at Kampung Selusop, Sabah

25 July 2009
Fishing again.... emmm... Actually is damn boring in U
ni's life, so just after my senior came back from their industrial training, we immediately plan for a fishing trip. This time it is totally a surprising trip for me. A team of fishing fever, Boon Hoe, Allen, Dennis , Sabah Tackle branch manager, Gary is also a penangist, and I. Kampung Selusop is located between Kota Kinabalu and Tuaran. I'm also not very sure of the location actually, but it is on the way to Tuaran.

We departed from Kingfisher at about 10:45 pm. I
t took us about 40 minutes to reach the destination. It is totally dark and you can't even see anything juz in front of you. We paid Rm 15 to the person in charge over there and took a ride to the floting house just about 40 meters from the shore. We were so excited and just the moment we started our fishing, the rain started. It is out of our expectation because when we reach at Kampung Selusop, the sky was covered with stars, but eventually the rain started just after 15 minutes. We were so disappointed at that moment, because it is hardly to catch even one fish during raining.

Maybe it is also depends on our luck, the rain stopped after 1 hour. Then we continue our stuff. For the first 2 hours we totally stressed out until my spinner was suddenly dragged out, everybody was so excited to know whether what was the fish hat i get, but i disappointed because it is just a catfish that we all actually hate this k
ind of fish.... Then i just released back to the sea and continue to wait for next bite. Everybody fell asleep again, but i i couldn't sleep at that moment maybe due to i just finished i whole bottle of Livita Go. Just the moment i nearly fall asleep, my spinner dragged out again. This time was totally different with the previous one, because my fishing rod was in "N-shaped" and my spinner was still kept dragging out. Once i locked my spinner, i decided to spin it back slowly but i couldn't. At this moment, i knew it is a big fish. Once I have the chance to spin it back, i did it quickly and when the fish just near to us, Dennis at the nick of time scooped the fish us. Whooohh, the fish is about 1 kg ++. At this moment only i felt it is worth for tonight.

Huuhhh, what a tiring night. We went back at 9.00 am in the morning... Wow, what a surpring trip.
